This auction is for a 2007 KTM Super Duke 990, it has just over 12,000 miles. The miles will increase slightly as I ride this any chance I can. Its in excellent shape and is a lot of fun to ride with the upright riding position and the torquey V-twin engine. The bike has a few mods, Leo Vince slip ons, rear fender eliminator, moto hooligan air injection block offs, ECU flash, shorty levers, windscreen and LED headlight. The valves were checked at around 11k miles. This bike is not an R model, at some point someone had the frame powder coated orange and they did a very nice job, looks like factory. The tires are good, should last at least another full season. The only issue I've noticed with the bike is at low speed braking I can feel one of the front rotors is out of round and will need to be replaced. This has a clean/clear title, no leins. Bajaj Auto Owns 25% of KTM

In India, Bajaj Auto is a major player in two and three-wheeled vehicles. They originally purchased a 14.5 percent stake in KTM last year, which was increased to 20.9 percent earlier this year and has now officially reached 25 percent. The companies have been working together to develop high-efficiency bikes, sourcing for production and the assembling of KTM bikes in India for export to Europe under KTM branding.

KTM Announces AMA Superbike Team – Will Compete Full 2012 Season

KTM announced it will compete in its first full AMA Superbike season, with Chris Fillmore riding the KTM 1190 RC8 R Race Spec. The Austrian manufacturer made its AMA Superbike debut last year, entering two events, with Fillmore riding the RC8 R for the KTM/HMC team. KTM‘s presence in 2012 was initially in doubt, but the team confirmed it is returning to compete the full season with Fillmore and the HMC team.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
