1983 KTM 504 NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once. I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should. No smoke. The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock. Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention. The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak. Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily. I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model. I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00. From what I have read this is a very rare bike. This bike is not restored - please look at the pics. Truckloads of dirt, mountains of rock and piles of logs are coming together to create an EnduroCross course that’s sure to challenge racers and entertain fans. Excitement will be a mile-high this weekend as the EnduroCross Championship puts three different race winners into an epic battle for valuable points before the halfway point in the series. Beta/GEICO-backed Cody Webb has led since his first round victory in Las Vegas, but KTM’s five-time champion Taddy Blazusiak is hot on his heels after a big win at the last round in Atlanta and at X-Games. And don’t count out Colton Haaker.
Bajaj Increases Stake in KTM
Wed, 04 Apr 2012India’s Bajaj Auto has acquired an additional 6.3% stake in KTM, raising its share of the Austrian manufacturer to 47%. According to Economic Times, Bajaj purchased the latest 6.3% through a Netherlands-based subsidiary. Bajaj first acquired a portion KTM in 2007, purchasing a 14.5% stake.
AMA Supercross: 2012 Phoenix Results
Mon, 16 Jan 2012Ryan Dungey gave KTM its first ever AMA Supercross win, taking the holeshot and leading every lap in Phoenix, Ariz. With an audience of 49,236 watching at Chase Field, it was the field that had to chase Dungey during the main event. Dungey jumped out in front at the first corner followed by JGRMX Yamaha‘s Davi Millsaps and defending AMA Supercross Champion Ryan Villopoto of Kawasaki.
