’74 Penton KTM 250 Hare Scrambler. A rare bike that marked the introduction of the 250 Penton/KTM in the USA. Great project bike. Original Owner. Has been sitting for 30 years and garaged since new. Purchased new from the original Donny Emler FMF shop in So Cal. I have the original bill of sale. 2 original manuals. Donny Emler hand made exhaust pipe and porting. Original factory pipe with no dings and original shocks included. Curnutt shocks on bike. Seat and tank in pristine condition. New vintage Acerbis fenders. 2 used motoplat ignitions. Complete and ready for a mild refurb. Go for the original factory rebuild or go race vintage class. Sold as is. Shipping extra from San Diego North County.

Splashing through the summer on my RC8R
Wed, 18 Jul 2012For sure the wet summer has curtailed my intentions of using my RC8R at every opportunity. That said I've had a fair amount mixed weather track time around the UK which has helped me bond with the big KTM. I've found riding at tighter twistier tracks like Oulton and Knockhill are more satisfying as the low down grunt and quick handling means you can stay with pretty much anything.
2013 AMA Supercross Indianapolis Race Report
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Ryan Villopoto continues to be in championship form, taking his third consecutive victory and sixth of the season with a win at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Indianapolis round of the 2013 AMA Supercross Championship. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider had a calculated, methodical race to take the win and expand his championship lead to nine points ahead of Davi Millsaps. Millsaps took the holeshot in a chaotic start to the main event that saw several riders go down at the opening corner.
KTM Reports Q2 2013 Sales Results
Fri, 23 Aug 2013KTM reported sales of 52,054 motorcycles over the first six months of 2013, a 26.3% increase from the 41,202 motorcycles sold in the same period of 2012. Streetbike sales were particularly strong, with KTM selling 27,752 motorcycles, a 28.4% improvement form 21,610 motorcycles. KTM credits the increase to strong sales for the 125 Duke and 200 Duke produced with Indian partner Bajaj which accounted for 3,392 motorcycles.
