Late 2003 Indian Scout. Must Sell. One of the last bikes out of the original Indian Gilroy Factory, high vin number. It has factory billet aluminum controls. This is a great ride. S&S 100 cu in engine, 2-1 SuperTrap Exhaust. RevTech Transmission. New battery last year. Replaced the stator, rectifier, and speedometer (factory problems parts). I am the second owner since 2009. There is one scratch on the rear fender and the chrome on the wheel spokes has some pitting. The bike is in overall great shape. The fluids were all replaced two years ago from front to back. Also includes original single black leather seat, 2001 Scout owners manual and 2003 maintenance manual. Garage kept, title is clear and in hand. This was my first bike and I am selling because I am converting over to sport touring bike to go off road. Please contact me for any other questions. 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS – the Indian KTM Duke 200

Bajaj Auto has unveiled its new naked model for the Indian market. The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (Naked Sport) is shares many of the same components of the also recently launched KTM Duke 200, but with a few cost-cutting measures. Bajaj, of course, owns a 39.26% share of KTM so such crossover of technology should be expected.KTM will be positioned as a premium brand while the Bajaj brand will be presented as a more-affordable alternative.

India Raises Import Duty on Motorcycles to 75%

The government of India has laid out its budget for 2013-2014, increasing the import duty for large motorcycles. The news will impact several major manufacturers hoping to gain a stake in the world’s second largest motorcycle market. India has become the hotspot for manufacturers but one of the biggest obstacles they face is the duty India levies on luxury goods.
