Indian SCOUT description

This Motorcycle was found in an elderly collectors garage in Wyoming next to a 1951 Harley Hydra Glide. Both bikes were rode in and parked in the late 80’s. We believe this 1941 Indian Scout to be mostly original with one previous paint job. This motorcycle is complete down to the barn find dust. We have chosen not to try to start or clean.  The motor is free and was ridden into the garage when parked years ago.  The pictures tell the story but please call with any questions. At one point this Indian title was changed to a clean home made title but is a Genuine Indian Scout. We intend on selling this bike to the highest bidder. True Miles Unknown.

Polaris Reports Q1 2013 Results

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Polaris Industries reported a 26% increase in net income over the first quarter of 2013, but a 2.9% decline in on-road vehicle sales (comprised almost entirely of Victory and Indian Motorcycles). The company’s first quarter filings report a net income of $75.5 million, up from the $60.1 million reported over the same period in 2012. Much of the increase can be attributed to a 217% increase in net sales from its snowmobile division, spurred in large part by increase in snowfall across many regions of North America.

Indian Motorcycles Heading to … Um … India

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Polaris Industries announced it will launch its Indian Motorcycles brand in India on January 22, 2014. The inherently awkward naming aside, Indian Motorcycles India will begin operations about two months after the launch of its Polaris cousins Victory Motorcycles as the latest brand to seek out a chunk of the world’s second largest motorcycle market. Indian Motorcycles India will offer the company’s complete lineup, which includes the Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and Chieftain.
