Indian Chief description

Well I never thought this day would come...I Swore I would keep this bike forever, but I have to sell her. She has been my companion since 2003 and has served me well. I bought her here on ebay so we start as we began.  Up for sale is my 2000 Indian Chief. She has 26K miles, but I always run synthetic oil and all service was done by Heavy Duty Cycles in Lompoc, Ca. because I admit, I'm not a wrench, but I do LOVE to ride, and I do LOVE the looks I get on this American Beauty, and if you ask me, this was the prettiest year produced. it's a low slung piece of art cruiser. big ol beach bars, and since it's an Indian, I wanted it to look like a war pony..so I added lots of leather. Now, I will admit, she's NOT...repeat NOT a show bike. I rode this bike all over central California. I spent more time riding than waxing, that's a fact. However, she does clean up nice, and even won a few shows when I entered her!

Now, for the add ons: Lots of leather bling...plus, since she had a tear-drop headlight, I had to get the DOSS Teardrop headlamps. I also added the Indian Chief mirrors, arrow shifter, Indian head nickel, and vintage horn cover. speaking of which, that is the one thing I can't get to work, but thew cover is so cool looking I don't wanna replace it...besides, who uses a horn on a bike anyway? That's what the Hacker labs Torpedo B insert is for in my tailpipe..this baby does roar!
I also had the dyna2000 ignition installed as well.
Here's what else you will get: A windshield that easily clips on, and the last Corbin 2-up touring seat with dual back rests and chrome rail...that was a 2100.00 investment...and very comfy! The bike runs well...it's ready to go. Like I said, it's not perfect in any way, it's a riders bike...but it's the best looking bike on the road, and if you're looking for something that turns heads, this is the bike. I've gotten more attention on this bike in a sea of Harleys, and it's a blast! the S&S engine is  sturdy, no doubt. Keep running synthetic and you should be fine for miles and miles. I wish I could keep her, she's been a wonderful companion...and you can do so much...keep riding her as is, or make her a project bike and get tricky...and I'm pricing this to sell fast.
Oh, I am listing this locally today as well, so I do reserve the right to end auction early...buy it now is a good option....just sayin.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.
