1999 INDIAN CHIEF—507 of 1100 LIMITED EDITION

 

This is a highly customized 1999 Indian Chief, number 507 of 1100 made. This bike has been painstakingly restored and customized to a show winning standard. Every aspect of this Chief has been accounted for in the restoration. This includes the use of original 1940’s N.O.S parts and custom fabricated pieces to compliment the 40’s style of the bike.

The S&S motor was fully stripped during the restoration and parts were replaced where necessary. This Chief runs beautifully and has only 1237 miles since restoration (may be subject to change).

Photos do not do this Chief justice, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Gilroy Indians in existence.

Rockerbox Motofest Moves To Road America

Wisconsin’s premier motorcycle show, The Rockerbox Motofest, featuring an eclectic mix of Euro, Japanese and American vintage café racers, choppers, sport bikes, racing machines, super motos, scooters, and sidecars is making an official move for the future. Instead of its usual Milwaukee home, the event is making the trek 60 miles north to America’s national park of speed as part of  Road America’s American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) Vintage Motorcycle Classic, June 6-8. The Rockerbox Motofest includes a ride-in bike show and competition showcasing the greatest in classic style, fresh customization, plus all that is unusual and incredible.

Polaris Reports Q3 2011 Results

Polaris Industries announced another record quarter with sales growth across all its product lines including on-road vehicle sales which consist mainly of Victory Motorcycles and Indian Motorcycles. The Medinia, Minn., company reported $67.6 million in net income for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011, a 43% increase from the $47.2 million reported in the same quarter of 2010.

Polaris Industries reported a record net profit of $227.6 million for 2011. Polaris’ on-road arm, which consists primarily of Victory Motorcycles saw a 79% year-on-year increase in sales. Sales from on-road vehicles, including Victory and Indian motorcycles as well as small electric vehicles from the newly-acquired GEM and Goupil brands, totaled $146.3 million in 2011, compared to just $81.6 million in 2010.
