Indian Chief Darkhorse description

 This is a unique opportunity to own a Darkhorse for $5000 below MSRP with quite a few extras.

This bike was purchased from Indian Motorcycle during their company owned vehicle auction.  Many of these units were ridden by executives at Polaris. Some units used as display, and some as demos.  

This bike has Indian Ape Hanger bars, Headdress Floorboard Pads, Black fender tips, Black heat shields.  Script Shifter Pegs, and Pinnacle Solo Rack.

Motorcycle has 8871 Miles and is in good shape.  As seen in the photos there is scratches on the heat shield.  Bike does not appear to have been laid down.  Unit will have fresh oil when purchased.

Classic Clubs that will be located on Championship Row include the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, Louisville Vintage Motorworks, Café Racer magazine and Bridgestone Motorcycle Club. The Club Corral, across from Championship Row, will include the Indian 4 Cylinder Club, the Kawasaki ZL Owners Association and the Cincinnati Classic British Motorcycle Owners.

Hero MotoCorp may fly a bit below the radar of most American motorcycle enthusiasts, but the Indian manufacturer has emerged as a leader in alternative fuel technologies for two-wheeled vehicle. First came the Hero Leap hybrid scooter (which is now ready to enter serial production), then came the RNT 150 diesel hybrid concept revealed last week. Today, Hero revealed another new concept, this one an electric motorcycle with a hydrogen fuel cell extender at the 2014 India Auto Expo.

Polaris Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

The relaunch of Indian Motorcycles continues to be a resounding success for Polaris Industries, helping the company report a 107% increase in second quarter revenue from motorcycle sales. Polaris reported revenues of $103.1 million in the quarter ended June 30, more than double the $49.9 million in revenue reported over  the same quarter last year. Polaris continues to see strong demand for Indian, which relaunched last summer, while demand for Victory decreased by the mid-single digits.
