Indian ME description

This Indian would be a great project, not requiring too much to be the gem of any collection.  It has good compression, but needs a few things to be in good running condition.  Does not have a title, but I will include a bill of sale.

The good:
Great frame with minimal rust
Good fenders/tank
Almost 100% complete (see below)
Few dents or major damage
Seat in excellent condition
Parts are cheap and readily available
Matching numbers
Good tires

What it needs
Fuel petcock
Air filter
Clutch cover (new or repair)
Clutch will not go into neutral even when engine is off. I'm no mechanic but believe this could be sticking plates or a detente spring.  Bike has sat for years likely the reason.
Headlight/brake light/battery-previous owner. wanted to convert to a true dirt bike and removed. Wiring still present
Minor rust in gas tank-definitely can be cleaned out
Grips not original
could use repaint/new decals (currently not horrible but not great)
No title

Bike is sold as-is. I have disclosed everything I can tell you about the Bike. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer.  Local pickup in Pittsburgh,Pa. I'm flexible on pickup, just communicate with me prior to purchase if special circumstances. Buyer assumes all shipping responsibility.

Our Magnificent seven

Wed, 16 Feb 2011

Remember to dust your Union Jacks down if you happen to be visiting any Grand Prix this year as we have no less than seven youngsters to cheer on in the junior Moto GP classes. I don’t think we’ve ever had this many ‘yoofs’ in the GP paddock so let’s hope they can do the business and bring an end to our long drought of Grand Prix titles. And that could be soon as Scott Redding is already a hot favourite for the 2011 Moto 2 championship on his Marc VDS Suter machine.

India Lands World Superbike Championship Round

The world’s second-largest motorcycle market will host the World Superbike Championship, with India’s Jaypee Sports International signing a four-year agreement with series organizers Infront Motorsports. India’s first World Superbike round will take place March 9-10, 2013 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, near New Delhi. The rest of the 2013 WSBK calendar is yet to be announced, but the Buddh round will likely be second on the schedule behind Australia’s Phillip Island round.

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

The relaunch of Indian Motorcycles continues to be a resounding success for Polaris Industries, helping the company report a 107% increase in second quarter revenue from motorcycle sales. Polaris reported revenues of $103.1 million in the quarter ended June 30, more than double the $49.9 million in revenue reported over  the same quarter last year. Polaris continues to see strong demand for Indian, which relaunched last summer, while demand for Victory decreased by the mid-single digits.
