About us: HEINEN's started in 1899 by John Heinen (yes 113+ years ago!) as a farm implement store. Slowly turning to motorsports in the late 60's as a fun way to excape farming. In the 90's, the twincities metro over took our little farm town and turned us into a large suburb just 10 miles northwest of Minneapolis. In what direction Husqvarna’s going with this prototype we don’t really know. Husky hasn’t released any factual information about the company’s 701 prototype except for some existential blather on the company’s Facebook page. “It is a glimpse of the future Husqvarna design direction, the philosophy that future Husqvarna’s will follow, where the surfaces of the bodywork are understated, focusing on simplicity.”
That’s more bodywork than we’ve seen on any modern Husky.

Husqvarna will enter the twin-cylinder market in 2012 with a variation of the F800 powertrain from Husky’s parent company BMW, enlarged to around 900cc. This supermoto-styled version will undoubtedly be accompanied by a more dirt-worthy adventure-touring model. The test mule seen in these photos appears to use several components from the BMW F800R, including its swingarm and wheels.

Husqvarna has announced its 2012 lineup of TE dual-sports. For 2012, all four TE models have been updated with all-black chromoly frames, silver rims and new graphics. The 2012 Husqvarna TE250 and TE310 both get revised suspension with stiffer 48mm open cartridge forks and rear shock from Kayaba.
