The road becomes your Terra-tory; and your destination becomes superfluous. Its about the ride. Practicality meets passion with Husqvarnas all-new TR650 Terra. The seven-day-a-week motorcycle is capable of being both urban commuter and weekend trekker. The dirt-road - Terra - features a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC motor based on BMWs venerable G 650 GS engine. A modified EFI system, redesigned cams, higher compression and revised piston and cylinder head increase the power output, allowing the TR650 to boast 58 horsepower while still offering excellent fuel capacity of over 55 mpg.

Husqvarna has announced U.S. prices for its new TR650 streetbikes. The 2013 Husqvarna TR650 Terra dual-sport will be available for$6,999 while its more street-going sibling the Strada will be priced at $7,499.

EICMA 2013: Husqvarna 701 Prototype

In what direction Husqvarna’s going with this prototype we don’t really know. Husky hasn’t released any factual information about the company’s 701 prototype except for some existential blather on the company’s Facebook page. “It is a glimpse of the future Husqvarna design direction, the philosophy that future Husqvarna’s will follow, where the surfaces of the bodywork are understated, focusing on simplicity.” That’s more bodywork than we’ve seen on any modern Husky.
