THIS IS A HARD TO FIND BIKE. IT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR MANY YEARS, BUT IT VERY RESTORABLE. THE ENGINE TURNS OVER WITH COMPRESSION. IT IS NOT RUNNING. THE BIKE APPEARS TO BE A PRETTY COMPLETE PIECE. THE FLYWHEEL COVER IS MISSING. THE FRONT FENDER IS PARTIALLY MISSING AS IT BROKE. THE REAR WHEEL DOES NOT ROLL AND WE SUSPECT LOCKED BRAKES OR FROZEN CHAIN. OVERALL A GREAT VERY HARD TO FIND PIECE FOR RESTORATION. BMW Sells Husqvarna to Pierer Industrie AG

The BMW Group has announced the sale of 110-year old Husqvarna Motorcycles to Austrian-based Pierer Industrie AG. “The BMW Group signed a purchase agreement with Pierer Industrie AG (Austria) for the acquisition of Husqvarna Motorcycles. The acquisition will proceed subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.

Thirty-two years after his death, Steve McQueen still reigns as the coolest movie star to ever ride a motorcycle. One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.

2012 Husqvarna TE Lineup Announced

Husqvarna has announced its 2012 lineup of TE dual-sports. For 2012, all four TE models have been updated with all-black chromoly frames, silver rims and new graphics. The 2012 Husqvarna TE250 and TE310 both get revised suspension with stiffer 48mm open cartridge forks and rear shock from Kayaba.
