Honda pc800 description
I purchased this bike 2 years ago, from an older gentleman from Northern Indiana. He had purchased it from the original owner, who had bought it new in Fort Wayne Indiana, so I guess it's always been a Hoosier. I didn't know that much about the PC800 model but once I rode it, I really liked it!! The engine and drivetrain is smooth, quiet and strong. Since it has a driveshaft and hydraulic lifters, very little maintenance is needed. The actual miles is 21,629 but I still have to ride it home. (@ work) It has a few blemishes and I am afraid the pictures don't show them very well. The sun was super bright and they just didn't turn out as good as I expected them to. Nothing big, just a small scratch on top of the front fender, a small chip on the right mirror enclosure and a crack in the tail lamp (thanks to me). The paint, instrumentation, upolstry and side covers all look great for the age. The front tire is 80 % good, the rear still has tread but will need replaced it's probably 30%. I don't know when the brakes were replaced, but are in very good condition. The battery is 2 years old, and still cranks like it was new. EVERYTHING works great !! These bikes, if equipped, came with a Kenwood sound system. I looked for one but "too salty" for my budget. I installed an aftermarket, which has a remote control mounted to the handlebar and an input cable and phone mount, on the fairing. I was careful not to go too big with the speakers, so that the OEM system could be installed later, if desired. It has a throttle lock that works great, self cancelling signals, tachometer, temp and fuel gauges. A very versatile machine. Fun to just tool along the country roads with and then when you need to really get somewhere, hit the interstate and cruise easily @ 85 MPH. This V twin engine is water cooled and does not mind cruising the interstate for hours. On the way home, you can stop and get some groceries. The trunk easily holds two 24 packs of your favorite beverage. I see these bikes sell for over $3,000. This one could be yours for $1500. Bid with confidence!! |

Gresini Unveils 2012 MotoGP and Moto3 Honda Race Bikes
Tue, 13 Mar 2012Last season, Alvaro Bautista rode on one of the best looking motorcycles on the MotoGP grid, the Suzuki GSV-R in Rizla powder blue livery by Troy Lee Designs. This season, Bautista is riding the Gresini Honda RC213V, but instead of its previous white paint job, the Gresini machine is in a sleek black. No reason for the color change was announced, though it’s possible the choice is a sign of mourning for the late Marco Simoncelli whose place Bautista is assuming with Gresini.
