2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb To Use Airfence, Thanks To Honda Sponsorship

After a successful 2013 campaign in the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where Honda’s own Jeff Tigert won the Pikes Peak 450 class and set a new record, Honda is stepping up its involvement for 2014, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in seven distinct race classes. In addition, Honda will be working with the AMA and the Pikes Peak sanctioning body on improvements which will provide new levels of safety to the Motorcycle / ATV / UTV / Sidecar competitors. EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CBR300R Revealed at EICMA

The new Honda CBR300R already made its world premiere earlier this month at the 2013 CIMAMotor show in China, but the entry-level sportbike has now made its European debut at the 2013 EICMA show, with full details and specs released. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Replacing the CBR250R in most western markets, the new CBR300R offers an extra 37cc in displacement and styling inspired from the CBR1000RR. As we previously reported, the 286cc engine was achieved by increasing the stroke of the 250′s engine by 8 mm to 63mm and keeping the bore at 76mm.

Honda VIP Package Available For Indianapolis MotoGP

For the 2013 Red Bull Indianapolis MotoGP event, Honda is offering a VIP package it has never offered before. Plus there will be opportunities for fans to attend interviews with Repsol Honda riders Dani Pedrosa, Marc Márquez and LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl. Interviews with Pedrosa and Márquez will take place on Saturday from 4:30 to 4:45 pm on the Moto Midway Main stage, while Bradl and Livio Suppo, Repsol Honda Team Principal, will be interviewed at the Honda display tent (time to be determined).
