Slick videos shot on HD GoPros (complete with dubstep soundtracks) are now common place. But back in the late 80s, self shot videos were much thinner on the ground, due to expensive camcorders that were about the same size as a petrol tank and probably just as heavy too.In a blast from the past, 'Old love' features a Honda CB900F Bol D'or and was posted online a few days ago by the self-proclaimed 'one of the quickest 'drivers' in Langenhagen, Germany': Jan Rosanka. The Blue Order remix is a great choice to accompany the short but my favourite scene is the friendly 'hi' to camera followed by the middle finger.

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. 45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
