Honda Other description

This is a meticulously maintained 2004 Honda Silverwing 600cc Maxi Scooter

No problem driving this on the highway - plenty of power and it will go 110 mph! Has storage for two helmets or several bags of groceries under the seat.

It has good tires and a recent brake job.

I bought this last year for $3200. The Kelly Blue Book trade in value is now $1820 and the retail price is $2695. This auction will start at $1820. Reason for sale = I bought a bigger bike.

The plastic is perfect except an area in the rear where a large trunk was removed which has some superficial scratches - see photo showing backrest.

This bike is guaranteed to start, run and drive upon delivery (for a long shipment a jump may be required to start it).

The buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and all shipping charges. I have had quotes in the $300 range for similar size motorcycles. Shipping services are available here on Ebay.

The stock windshield is on the bike now; it will ship with an oversized windshield - can be easily installed with a few screws.

TERM: Paypal deposit of $500 within the first 24 hours. Cashiers check for the full amount within 7 days. I have a clear title, no problem.

Local buyers (Northern Arizona) - to test drive bring cash in the amount of the current bid on this auction. No cash, no test drive.

NOTE: I have also listed this bike locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

Happy 50th Hizzy

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

On the 11th January 1962, Steve Hislop was born in Hawick, Scotland. Today would have been his 50th birthday, but he was tragically killed in a helicopter accident in 2003. Hizzy was a genius on a motorbike and when he was happy with everything around him, he was amongst the best in the world.

Honda’s V-4 History

Tue, 06 Oct 2009

As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!
