This motorcycle is in excellent condition with low miles for a bike designed for 125,000 miles plus. It's a beautiful burgundy wine color with very few blemishes. This bike epitomizes the design of an autobahn-class touring machine. Smooth, powerful and fast, it's seen 125mph with plenty of pull left. It gets 49 miles per gallon, regular gas, which is outstanding for a bike of this size and displacement. Detachable hard bags make traveling with luggage is convenient. Load the bags and pop them off to carry like ordinary luggage at the destination. Each bag is roomy enough to hold a full-face helmet. For riding with the bags, a flip-down panel hides the mounting rail. Looks nice with/without the bags. 2002 was the last year this beautiful machine was sold. After 10 years of production, any flaws had been resolved and minor tweaks continued to improve the appearance and performance. Thu, 09 Mar 2017At the Motodays show in Rome, Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin, featuring Dakar styling, technical innovations and a price tag that surpasses the exterior of the motorcycle in severity. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.
Top box trauma
Wed, 24 Nov 2010I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong.It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.
