HI and thanks for looking at my auction. I am the second owner of this bike and I have had a lot of fun riding it but I'm getting too old for this kind of bike so it's up for auction. Bike will come with a tank bag, manual and original tool kit. Seat and tires are in great shape. Very dependable bike. I am in Key West so if you are on the East coast between here and Maryland I can deliver the bike for the price of the uhaul trailer plus money for gas which we can discuss or you can arrange pick up from 33040 with a shipping company. This item is listed locally so i reserve the right to end the auction early. If you use a shipping company the bike must be picked up asap. Feel free to ask any questions.THIS IS A 5 DAY AUCTION Reserve is reasonable according to KBB. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. Spies Second at Sepang Test Day Two; Lorenzo Third
Wed, 01 Feb 2012Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies led for most to the second day of MotoGP testing at Sepang before settling for the second best lap the time sheets behind defending World Champion Casey Stoner. Spies rode 37 laps and recorded a time of 2:01.052, which stood as the fastest lap in the morning session. That time was surpassed later in the afternoon by Repsol Honda rider Stoner by 0.157 seconds.
A Weighty Issue
Mon, 03 Nov 2008For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.
