Honda Other description

1972 Honda XL 250 motosport .First year XL ,bike is a  nice survivor , titled ,with a little more attention very nice bike . Here is the rundown on what it needs .The light switch is run thru an aftermarket switch , Basically the right hand  switch  needs repair or replaced ,  choke cable is not there .I just put my finger on the choke lever and 1 or 2 kicks and she starts right up .  , I just use original  key for kill switch ,which also operates fork lock . Bike runs , shifts and rides nicely , but I'm at 7,000 ft. + elevation and may  need a carb adjustment to stay up at this elevation. Needs a  new battery . Original 6030 miles w/ original key  . Seat is very nice , tires are very good dual sports with very few miles on them ,new coil .Tank has some rust but good and very straight overall/no bondo ,and original paint. Good brakes ,lights were working ,see no reason why they are not now . .I just havent rode it for a while.Speedometer and tach function as they should.    Overall ,It is a well cared for Survivor .please ask questions as needed ,I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase , I also have a  parts XL that I may sell cheaply with this .  If the Buy it now is met , I will throw  the parts bike in ! I can deliver to forward air frieght for 100.00,they place them in their crate and it is very reasonable , or I may be able to deliver personally as well for a fee . Bike is sold as is used but good ,so before bidding please ask questions 500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction end  , bike is for sale locally so auction may end at any time ,bid now on this  very nice  original XL. I have shipped bikes worldwide and will sell internationally as long as Funds are cleared    The rack in some of those pictures is not for this bike ,also the spots on the seat etc are water spots ,not permanent ,If you need any more super detail pix ,just let me know ,please see my feedback,I WILL go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied ,but please only bid if you are looking for the first year original running XL ,save your time and money if you just want a plinker ,this one will plink , but also retain its value...

The most beautiful race bike ever?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

It was good to see my old HRC team mate Shinichi Itoh making his final Moto GP appearance last weekend at Motegi.  At 44 he was a bit off the pace compared to his younger team mates, but that didn't matter as it was a joy just to see him circulating on what I reckon is most stunning GP bike ever. And I gladly braved the pit lane walkabout chaos just to dribble and take a few snaps. Unfortunately he lost the front in one session trashing a complete set of body work but was back in action on race day to grab a few world championship points.

WSBK: 2012 Donington Results – Video

Mon, 14 May 2012

BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.

Honda 'Hands'

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Honda are well known for their commercials with their 'Cog' ad for the Honda Accord car (2003) the most awarded of its time. Honda's latest advert celebrates the curiosity of their engineers and features classic motorcycles such as the Honda Cub and the RC112. A CBR and CRF also make an appearance along with a nod to that previous ad, a cog.
