Honda Other description

Up for sale is a !969 Honda Z50 Mini trail.  Bike runs good and is in good shape for its age.  Seat is torn a little. It’s all original except for an aftermarket tank (the original comes with bike and could easily be restored and hold fuel) the tail light is not original and I replaced the cables, points, condenser etc.  I have a new chain and sprockets to be put on and a new aft exhaust tube (see photo) the original is ok and on the bike.  The numbers I found on the engine are 273 and Z50AE, 95827.  No title. This is a great bike for kids to learn to ride or keep as a collector’s item.  I’m in the St. Louis area and bike can be picked up or shipped.

Remember push starts?

Fri, 18 Nov 2011

Alongside the most stunning collection of race and road bikes at their Motegi museum, next to some race bikes, Honda also has a step by step guide on most aspects of riding. I photographed the wonderful text on push starting but I also have lots of equally hilarious instructions on cornering braking and even what a riders goal should be. Watch this space...... oh, and hopefully see you at the NEC over the next ten days!

"Dangerous" assistant

Thu, 07 Apr 2016

Honda has patented its development in the field of interactive technologies that prevent accidents, following BMW. The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.

2012 Honda Gold Wing Tour: Part 4

Fri, 20 May 2011

Yesterday aboard the 2012 Honda Gold Wing was quite an eye opener. I had shared my impressions of some of the upgrades to the new Wing in blog posts earlier in the week (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), but these focused mostly on some comfort and convenience updates and the bike’s ability to eat up open stretches of pavement. But on this day we put the Wing to a completely different test: the Tail of the Dragon, US 129 in North Carolina.
