This motorcycle has been idle for several years. It was owned by my neighbor, a physician, who recently passed away. He maintained and treated his bike like it was his baby and could never part with it. Now that he's gone we need to dispose of it. It ran fine when he parked it. I've changed the oil and installed a new battery and it will start and run. It sounds fine mechanically but it needs the carbs cleaned and adjusted, the gas has gummed up over the years. It has custom pipes and is a sharp looking bike. The tank has a minor dent and a couple little marks, it needs front turn signal stalks but otherwise it's in good shape. This fine lady's loss is your gain. A minimum amount of work and you'll have a great bike for a modest amount of money. Includes factory tool kit. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014

Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.

Top box trauma

I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong.It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.
