2012 Honda CRF 450R, Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R's all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You'll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That's because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R's short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike's center of mass. They're super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model's new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you're going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you're going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one. Honda NC700X Recall Expands to US
Fri, 28 Sep 2012As we expected, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall on the 2012 Honda NC700X. The recall announcement comes a week after the NC700X and the NC700S were recalled in Canada. As with the Transport Canada recall, the problem is a lack of proper heat treatment on the Honda NC700X’s drive chain.
2013 Repsol Honda Team Livery Revealed
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Repsol Honda revealed the livery off its RC213V racebikes and leathers of riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez for the 2013 MotoGP season. The livery is again dominated by the colors of the team’s top sponsor, Spanish oil giant Repsol, but with more white and less black, particularly along the bottom of the fairing. The Repsol logos on the sides now slope downward toward the swingarm whereas the previous design had them rising up toward the seat.
Honda’s New Documentary: Dreams vs Nightmares [trailer]
Wed, 24 Jun 2009Honda have been releasing video documentaries on… well… everything! Why? Well to toot their own horn and remind you that Honda is crazy cool. Actually, their videos aren’t that bad, although somewhat dramatic. I hunkered down and watched their “Failure: The Secret to Success” video and it held my attention. Their new video is titled “Dreams vs Nightmares”, which features a few notable people such as Clive Barker and Deepak Chopra. I’m curious to see how they take this theme and use it to show how and why Honda creates and designs the products they make.
