Honda CR description

Up for sale is a 1989 Honda CR125R. I live north of Little Rock in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas and am selling this motorcycle for my son who lives out of state. The bike is located here with me. I bought this bike for my 15 year old son in February 1994 and we occasionally would trail ride on together on our bikes in Oklahoma and some in Texas. When he finished his schooling he moved out of state and almost every Thanksgiving at our house, we would ride our bikes around our neighborhood for about a half hour or so and then reminisce on the "old days". Now we hardly ride them at all. I generally start them up a few times each year, take them for a short ride through all the gears up and down our road just to keep them running but now it's finally time for both of us to part with our bikes because of non-use.

There is normal wear and tear to be expected from a motocross bike of this age. Body plastic has areas of discoloration, scratches, etc. The exhaust pipe has a few dents and the seat has 2 tears as shown in the pictures. The frame has paint wear and the red color in the fork boots is faded. The bike starts, seems to run and revs great but it needs a good tune-up and setting of the idle; I am not a mechanic. Everything seems to work to my knowledge, there are no leaks and the bike has always been kept inside our garage, both here and in Texas since the bike was purchased.  The person we bought the bike from stated that it was never raced and we have never raced the bike either, only used it occasionally for trail riding. I was required to show mileage for this bike, I don't know why since it doesn't have an odometer (!) but I put 1,000 miles and know it can't be that much because we didn't really ride it that much. Also, I have been told that this is the final year model of the right side up forks on the CR125R. The stand is included.  I have tried to describe this bike as best I can. You can check my eBay ratings that has a 100% positive rating since 1999, so I encourage you to look at all of the pictures using the zoom-in feature so that you can better determine the condition of this bike yourself. Also, I encourage any phone calls if there are any questions or concerns whatsoever.  Overall, I think it is in very good condition especially for its age but this bike is used and is being sold in "as-is" condition with no warranty given or implied and no returns, so please look closely at all the pictures and call me at 870-499-3355 with any questions, etc.  Thanks very much for looking at this bike and whoever wins the auction, I hope you will enjoy it as much as me and my son have over the last 22 years.

Honda CBR250R top speed run

Sun, 24 Apr 2011

The Cope Law states that: the capacity of the bike you're riding is inversely proportional to your chances of a crash. Never was it more true than on the launch of Honda's CBR125R and CBR250R where a handful of UK journos were riding elbow to elbow for a couple of hours, with laughter flowing from everyone's lid as we all took turns to back in to roundabouts, burnout through town and wheelie from the lights.. This video shows me chasing Trevor Franklin of MCN fame on a top speed run.

Stoner Tops Time Sheets as Honda MotoGP Testing Resumes

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

Missing a day of testing didn’t appear to have a negative effect on Honda riders Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa. After missing the second day of testing because of a potential engine problem, the Repsol Honda riders were back on the track for Day 3 where they regained the top two spots on the time sheets. Honda held back Stoner and Pedrosa as well as satellite team riders Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl yesterday to investigate an engine warning light that lit up on the dash of Pedrosa’s RC213V on Day 1.

Classic Race Finishes: 1991 250cc Misano Grand Prix – Video

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

More than just a medium to view countless hours of cat videos, YouTube allows us to look back at classic motorcycle races otherwise lost to the depths of the VHS tape. This time around features the no-holds-barred, back-and-forth action between Luca Cadalora, aboard the Rothmans Honda NSR250 and Helmut Bradl, father of current MotoGP rider, Stefan Bradl, riding the HB Honda NSR250. The stage is the 1991 250cc Italian Grand Prix at Misano — back when it was run in the correct, counter-clockwise, direction.
