Honda CM400T description

I've bought this bike 18 years ago when I was 18 as my first motorcycle. It has been and still is a great little bike. Over the years things have been well cared for and either replaced due to wear or up grading. The original color was red but when original tank started leaking where the Honda emblems were screwed to the tank I replaced it with a 750 tank off a bike a couple years newer. I had the new tank powder coated candy blue with a glitter clear coat. Tried to show in pictures but they don't do it justice. I painted side covers with gun metal base coat clear coat because you can't powder coat plastic and there is no way to match the custom blue on tank. Years ago when i had the seat recovered I also had pan widened and more padding glued in to make it wider and more comfortable. It has new tires and battery and fresh oil and filter change. Two summers ago the engine was rebuilt mainly because we had it apart to put all new gaskets in it and figured that was as good of a time as any. At that time it also got a new ignition stator and front and rear sprockets with new oring chain. Over the years any bearings or seals that have needed replaced have been. My oldest boy started on this bike a couple years ago then moved up to bigger bike and now my youngest used it to learn on and now is ready for a bigger bike. It needs to move on to someone who needs a starter bike or a city commuter bike. We rode 200 miles today and it never gave us any trouble.

Every year in the motorcycling world there are a few new motorcycles that gather the collective interest of enthusiasts across the country. This year those two models included the new entry-level sportbike from Honda, the CBR250R, and the new luxo-touring bike from BMW, the K1600GT and K1600GTL. While enthusiasts are gearing up for delivery of their new bikes there is a place for them to enthusiastically discuss their new purchase, or perhaps, for those who have not yet purchased, a sounding board for their thoughts.

The 2013 Honda CRF250L is powered by a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 249cc Single inherited from the CBR250R, so it carries the same low-friction innovations such as the roller rocker arm design. Like the CBR, the CRF250L is produced in Thailand, helping keep costs low.
