Honda CM tech info
Honda CM description
This auction is for a red 1981 Honda Twinstar CM200T in great condition. There is a crack on the right-side exhaust pipe and a little rust on both exhaust pipes, but it is otherwise very clean and runs great.
This particular bike has an aftermarket windshield and saddlebags attached and includes a cover for overnight outdoor parking. This bike has been my primary transportation for about a year, and I've averaged 73.2 mpg with it. Last oil change was at 10,217.3 miles, the chain was replaced at 8,525.7 miles, and the gears and air filter were last cleaned and spark plugs were last replaced at 8,096.0 miles. If you purchase this bike, you will be its fourth owner. Local pickup only. I'm selling the bike because I'm moving a decent distance and don't want to haul the bike there or drive it that far. |

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.
Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP
Tue, 13 Oct 2009Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.
EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CBR1000RR First Impressions – Video
Tue, 05 Nov 2013It may not have a fancy electronics suite like many of its rivals, but the Honda CBR1000RR has long been one of our favorite literbikes due to its light and nimble handling combined with strong, accessible torque. For 2014, Honda is upping the ante with the CBR1000RR SP edition. No, it still doesn’t have any electronic aids, but it does have a bevy of top shelf suspension components.
