Honda CL description

This beautiful, unrestored original bike is a real "head turner". Everywhere I ride it, people are attracted. I bought this bike because it is the exact model, color and year of my first bike that I bought new in 1972.

I'm selling it because  I'm in my seventies and the last two years I hardly rode.

Original owner had this bike for 40 years. He kept it in climate controlled environment. I've owned it since and continue keeping it in the same kind of environment. It spend the winters in the furnace room and summers in the garage. You can tell by the great condition of the chrome, original seat and tires. The color is Candy Panther Gold. Comes with original owners manual and tool pouch. Also copy of service manual.

New battery, headlight, battery strap, petcock. Rebuilt carbs, timing and valves adjusted. There was some light rust in gas tank. So I cleaned and coated it. I couldn't get a good picture of the inside. Everything works, it runs and shifts very good.

Check out pictures and see a couple chips on gas tank and a couple on side covers.

A $500 non-refundable deposit require in 48 hours of auction close. Buyer responsible for pick-up or arranging shipping.

Great bike for 44 years old! Only 4870 miles. I've ridden it 380 miles.

This a chance to own a real nice vintage motorcycle that will give a lot of pleasure and should never go down in value.

Yesterday, I decided to start it since it had not run since last fall. I kicked the starter to prime it before using the electric starter. To my surprise, it started on the first kick. I rode it 3 miles, so it now has 4873 miles.

VIN# CL350-4001802

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.

Do You See the Motorcycle?

Tue, 15 Dec 2009

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. More photos after the jump.

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.
