Honda CL description

Up for auction is a 1966 CL77 that will make an easy restoration project. Looks like it was an original red frame bike but someone painted it black at some point.  The engine ran when primed. It is missing a few small parts like the air cleaner tubes, chain guard, ignition switch mount, (it does have the black round cover nut). a few nuts and bolts. Every thing seems to work. I was going to restore it, but I am just finishing a 1967 model and will be keeping that one. The fenders have been bobbed. I have replacements, that I will be putting up for sale later, along with a stock front fender bracket. It has a small dent in the gas tank that can be popped out easily. The seat is in nice shape. Have ignition key.The horn and lights work. Front forks will need to be rebuilt.

This has no title. Only bill of sale.

Buyer is responsible for pick up and shipment.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Honda NC700S and NC700X Coming to Canada – US Availability Still Uncertain

Wed, 23 Nov 2011

American Honda has not included the recently revealed NC700S and NC700X models in its 2012 list of offerings, but it looks like the two motorcycles will be available in Canada. Honda Canada has not made an official announcement but a dealership in Kelowna, B.C., has published a press release that appears to have come directly from Honda Canada saying the two models will be available in Canada in the summer of 2012. (EDIT: Honda Canada has confirmed the NC700 models will be at the Toronto Motorcycle Show Dec.

Morocco by bike

Wed, 04 May 2011

If you've never been to Morocco, you have missed out, big time. If you were going to go to Morocco on a bike, we'd suggest going along with a living legend like Mick Extance, a five time finisher of the Dakar rally. Maybe the video will whet your appetite.
