Honda CB description

Fun, versatile, light-weight and very capable standard/naked in good used condition.
Some scratches, could use chain maintenance, but otherwise in great shape and ready to ride.
Being sold completely stock, except gel battery with trickle charge pigtail and newer grips.

If you like to twist the throttle, this could be a candidate for best all-around bike.
Reviewers regularly say the 919 is bulletproof, and does almost everything well.
If you're not familiar with the bike, don't listen to me, just google "919 review," click and read.

Those who want a loud, flashy bike to impress (or annoy) people probably won't appreciate the 919.
But if you want a machine that will impress YOU with its performance, take a closer look...
Unless you've spent a lot of time on a track, this is definitely a better bike than you are a rider.

NOTICE:  Scratches (shown in worst light in photos w/close-up flash) are there, but not TOO bad.
Several on tank from older tank bag, one scratch on stator cover from careless maintenance,              one scratch on right aluminum swingarm, and normal wear near foot pegs.
If this is a concern, please CONTACT me for more details and photos before bidding!

Tires are one year old.  Oil changed this spring.  No fancy oils, but always used quality synthetics.
I got it to ride not to show, but garage kept, well maintained and (somewhat) responsibly used.
As mentioned above, gel battery, battery tender pigtail, and newer grips are only modifications.

NOTICE
: I set it up as a sport-tourer (screen, cases, bar risers...).

Since most people prefer it naked, this listing is for the bone-stock 919.
Stock photo of stock bike included, showing exactly what you'll get when I strip the extras.
I'll be selling extras separately, so if you want any of them feel free to make an offer.

For sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction early.

I will NOT make any shipping or packing arrangements, but I WILL work with you to reasonably accommodate arrangements you make and pay for.  I CAN deliver it to within a couple hours of Petoskey MI, to be negotiated after sale (gas money and lunch)

Selling only because I just bought my next bike, an FJR1300, which is a dedicated sport tourer.
I took the 919 on two 15+hour trips already this season, several more planned.
That's one thing it doesn't do as well, at least for my old butt.
I'll miss it though! (In fact, I'll give you $100 off if you let me come visit it once a year!)

When it’s minus nine outside, riding motorbikes should be the last thing on any sane person’s mind. Riding them off-road, nearly two thousand feet above sea level seems even more stoopid. But that’s where I was a week last Saturday.

Hot on-board laps of Cadwell with Josh Brookes

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

You've got to be reasonably mental to ride a 200bhp Superbike on slicks around the narrow cart track that is Cadwell Park. We've met Josh Brookes a few times and we can vouch that he qualifies highly for the task in hand. That's a compliment, by the way.

Honda Raises MSRP for 2013 NC700X But Lowers Price for DCT Option

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

The big news from Honda last week was the introduction of the new CTX700 and CTX700N cruisers. Flying a little under the radar however was a change to American Honda‘s pricing structure for the 2013 NC700X which sees a price increase for the base model but a price cut for combined anti-lock brakes and a dual clutch transmission Honda introduced the NC700X last year at an impressively low price of $6999 for the base model and $8999 with ABS and DCT. The low price point was one key advantage we awarded the 2012 NC700X over the $7899 Kawasaki Versys in our recent Middleweight Multi-Tool Shootout.
