2015 Honda NM4 Coming to US in June for $10,999

Believe it or not, news sites hate April Fools Day. On any other day, it’s challenging enough to find and verify news from a variety of sources, but on this day, everyone seems to want to outdo one another with fake press releases and everything needs to be checked in triplicate to root out what’s real and what is a prank. Take American Honda‘s announcement today, April 1, that it would bring the new Honda NM4 to the U.S.

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

USA Four Corners Tour Tracked On Google Earth

Ain’t technology amazing? In 2010, Bill Royal and his friend Larry, both members of the Iron Butt Association, decided to take part in the USA Four Corners Tour, sanctioned by the Southern California Motorcycling Association. He logged the trip on his GPS and later uploaded it to Google Earth.
