Looks closely at the photos, what you see is exactly what you will receive. It WILL NEED WORK you can not ride it home. The bike DOES START with the help of starter fluid. The carbs will need to be rebuilt, or at least cleaned/dipped. The starter button does not work (the button itself) but starts off the kick starter or direct power. Starter is good. The right side cover has a small hole, high enough that there is still plenty of oil, but it needs to be replaced or repaired. Looks like the brake lever cracked it. Will need a battery, throttle cable (tight) and other minor things typical with restoring an older bike that has been sitting. One bag is cracked at the latch (the one that on in the photos) Both bags included. Missing front brake lever (I have one from another cb500 thats included) Overall its a very solid, very original starting point. Great candidate for a cafe build or restoration. TOO NICE TO PART OUT. 45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
Hero MotoCorp Reveals RNT 150 Turbo Direct Injection Diesel Concept
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Hero MotoCorp revealed a new scooter concept powered by a 150cc turbocharged direct injection diesel engine. And if that isn’t unique enough, the concept is also two-wheel drive, with an electric motor in the front wheel hub. It’s too soon to know when the Hero RNT 150 TDI concept will ever make it to serial production, but the scooter does represent a technological show of force, proving that Hero can carry on its own research and development following its split from longtime partner Honda.
Isle of Man TT 2013: Dainese Superbike Race Results
Mon, 03 Jun 2013It was delayed by a day but the Isle of Man TT’s Dainese Superbike race finally went underway Sunday. Originally scheduled to open the 2013 Isle of Man TT, the race was pushed back a day because poor weather earlier in the week prevented proper practice and qualifying. Even then, the Superbike race was delayed 45 minutes from its rescheduled start time due to a traffic accident.
