Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
For sale is my 1975 Honda CB500T Cafe Racer. This bike has been completely gone through and most parts but the motor and frame are new, modified, or upgraded. Bike was built as an every day ride not as a trailer queen so its is not perfect but it starts and rides like a dream and is a TON of fun on a back road. The bike had a broken speedometer when I bought it and has had under 600 miles put on it since the rebuild I would imagine the real mileage on the motor it over 10,000 but I have no idea for sure. This bike is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end this sale at any time if someone picks up the bike locally. I love this bike but there are to many other things in the shop right now and I need to make space.
A few things that have been upgraded on this bike since 1975 are: Chopped back end and removed rear tail section, replaced with custom fiberglass rear seat which also houses all electronics and battery underneath Hidden kill switch for a little security Professionally cleaned, tuned, and jetted Carburetors Removed Electric Starter Cleaned and polished engine cases Ballistic performance LifeP04 Battery New Dime City Cycles Rear Shocks New Front and rear tire (about 500 miles on tires) New Speedometer, Tachometer, and Cables (Dime City Cycles) New clutch cables and clutch (Dime City Cycles) New blinker indicator switches, blinkers (front and back), and tail light (Dime City Cycles) New throttle and throttle cables (Dime City Cycles) Upgraded and modified front brake (stock one was VERY under sized) to caliper and master cyl. from a mid 80s Honda Magna and drilled front rotor Electronic ignition Lengthened kick stand to accomodate tires and suspension upgrades Wrapped stock exhaust and added turn downs Removed all stock air boxes and chambers and replaced with K&N cone filters (Professionally tuned to run without boxes) New Seat and foam New Front and Rear Brakes Clubman Bars Stainless Steel Bolt Kit New Gaskets Im sure there is more but thats what I can remember. There is a small crack in the paint on the side of the tank which is in one of the pictures there is also some dripped gasoline across the tank which is also pictured. If you have any questions about the bike please ask I would be glad to answer them. Bike starts right up and I rode it around the block a few times before I took the pictures you are looking at in the listing. It was my every day ride till last year when I got way to busy to get on it. I also have a hand full of stock parts if the buyer is interested. |
