Honda CB description

I am selling my 1975 Honda CB 500 T.  I have too many bikes to ride but letting go of this one is especially hard.  This bike is not a restoration; it is a survivor that sat covered inside for decades. It was bought from an estate sale with less than 300 miles, then brought back to life; new oil, gas, carbs rebuilt, battery and lubrication.  It is in exceptionally well preserved condition and has 1388 miles, of which I have driven over 900.

I was in the process of restoring another 500 T when I located this bike.  I put a newly painted tank and side covers on this bike but still have the originals.  Everything works on this bike.  It still feels tight and new.  There are no leaks, it starts easily with either the electric or kick starter, it doesn't smoke, it runs and idles smoothly.  I had the clutch replaced just from age.  This Honda drives like it was from the dealership in 1975. The seat is like new, the tires are original and in great shape.  There is some pitting on the chrome from age but still very good and solid. The tach and speedometer are the original "glory brown" and the orange markings on them aren't even faded. Everything is original and in very good condition, mechanically and in appearance.

This CB 500 T is ridden regularly, has current registration and inspection.  I have a clear Texas title.  This motorcycle would make an excellent addition to any collection or just become a daily rider.  There aren't many examples of the CB 500 T in this condition anywhere.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will be available to coordinate pick up by your shipper.  I am available by phone (817) 271-0423 to answer any specific questions you may have.  Happy Bidding!!

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.

Teaser: 2012 Japanese Literbike Shootout – Video

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

The last time we assembled the superbike offerings from the Big Four Japanese manufacturers to determine the alpha male model was 2009. The CBR won that confrontation, but a lot’s changed since then. For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.
