Honda CB description

I purchased this CB350 K4 road racer recently an a whim, with the intentions of racing it.  The reality is, I'm not going to be doing any vintage road racing any time soon, so I am reluctantly offering it for sale as to not punish the bike to years of collecting dust in my garage.  I did not build this beautiful machine, I will do my best to describe it.  I purchased it from the son of the builder, who as I am told was an elderly man that has since passed away.  The gentelmen who built the motorcycle spared no expense creating a gorgeous and very well built out race bike, but was unable to ride it.  The bike has sat for nearly a decade before I got it.  I have not taken the bike or motor apart, but just by poking around I have seen that there are:
- Todd Henning Race pistons (attached pic of top of piston through plug hole)
-PVL/Motoplat elctronic/batteryless ignition
-copper racing head gasket
 -Todd Henning Race Exhaust
 -Bucchanan's built Akront rims/stainless spokes
-Upgraded Yamaha front brake  (same diameter as stock, but wider braking shoes)
-Modified front forks and triple trees
-Complete unmounted Drixton style fairing and front fender (brackets are built and included)
-Avon racing tires (old and need replaced)
-Alloy rear Sets
-Feather light Alloy works style tank (I did take it off to look under)
-Racing seat
-Progressive Rear Shocks
-Fully adj clip on bars
-Mikuni Carburetor Conversion

The builder's son believed the top end to be upgraded too, with racing cam and valves, but I have not opened the motor and cannot verify.  Clutch, brakes, and transmission all work as they should.  I am very tempted to put gas in it and try and fire it up, but there is no kill switch and I'm not sure how to wire one onto these earlier analog pvl systems.  I've started race bikes without kill switches before and learned my lesson!  Don't do it!

Please see the pics closely and ask questions.  I wish I had more information on this bike.  My opening bid is most likely much less than the builder put into the motor alone.  This is an amazing opportunity to buy a nearly completed racer that should not only look amazing, but perform amazingly too.  I believe the next owner only needs to safety wire and add an inner rear fender to be on the track.  This is  race bike and has no title....BILL OF SALE ONLY.

Shipping is buyer's responsibility, I have worked with shippers before-should not be a problem!

Using technology derived from the ASIMO bi-pedal humanoid robot, Honda has developed a new personal mobility concept called the U3-X. If this proves successful, owners may never have to walk again. Check out a video of the U3-X in action below the jump.

The Bourne Legacy motorcycle chase

Fri, 20 Jul 2012

Motorcycle chases will play a big role in this year's two spy films, with James Bond riding a Honda and now a clip from the upcoming Bourne Legacy shows an action packed chase scene. The Bourne Legacy will follow a similar premise with a rogue CIA agent being hunted down by the agency, it is also the first film in the series not to feature Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, instead handing over the reigns to Avengers Assemble star Jeremy Renner. What's your favourite motorcycle chase on the silver screen?

Casey Stoner To Be Named MotoGP Legend

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

There’s no question Casey Stoner was (and still is) one of the best riders ever to throw a leg over a motorcycle. His accomplishments on two wheels, especially his championships on both Ducati and Honda machinery, are proof. Next week at the MotoGP round at Phillip Island in Australia, Stoner will join a distinct group of riders as he will be officially inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.
