Honda CA description
Selling my 1964 Honda Dream 305 - CA77, see viseo of it here: https://youtu.be/4yKzSpRaX6Y The bike has about 5100 miles on it. I say that because the original speedometer is not on the bike, I used to have it and it read 3400 or so. The current speedo is coming up on 1600 miles. While the bike was in the previous owner's garage, something had fallen on it breaking the windshield plexi, the speedo and denting the headlight cowl and fender. The sons put a new headlight cowl and speedo in it, gave me the old but I have since lost it. The plexiglass and dent in the fender have been repaired since I got it. As it sits the bike is about 90% original. I've installed new tires, brake and clutch cables, the fender ornament, plug wires, mirrors, battery and foot peg rubber. All of these replaced items were the original ones that came with the bike in '64 and were well worn out when I bought it. One of the tank emblems is also not original but was on the bike when I got it. Yes the seat is original, a small crack in it is all that is wrong with it. I've contemplated restoring it but the bike is still mostly original at 52 years old and would never be original again if I restore it. She runs great for a 52 year old bike and you have to keep that in mind if you buy it. It hates starting in the cold weather, takes a few minutes to warm up and has the shifting quirks the bike is known for. She gladly cruises at 50-55 mph, you can hit 65-70 on a good day but I try not to push her. All the accessories you see other than the fender trim were installed by the dealer when the original owner bought the bike. This includes the Buco windshield and saddle bags. the ASC luggage rack / seat hoop and the crash bar. The fender trim piece I found NOS in Asia. Unfortunately when I moved the wing broke off (which I have) and haven't had a chance to look for a replacement. Also, the original tool kit is still with the bike. I have several other odds and ends, manuals, spare plugs, etc that would be included. So the bike is what it is, I tried to describe it as accurately as I can and welcome further questions. It is titled as an Antique in PA. |
