Harley-Davidson Touring description

Great bike. 1,000 mile service done by dealer. Just serviced for first regular scheduled service too. Hwy pegs and mount included that match factory foot boards and passenger pegs. They are Harley and I paid $300 for them. Upgraded speakers with AMP - plugged into factory harness and allows for updates on computer system. Non- Harley upgraded Day Maker Head light. Factory and upgraded windshield included. Shown with taller one in picture - both Harley Brand. 4 point docking station included and Harley Sissy Bar - not shown. Mint condition except scratches shown on bottom of one saddle bag. Touch up paint will fix, and not visible unless looking underneath. I'm only selling because I need the room in my garage. I am very impressed with the ride and handling of the bike - can set cruise control at 90 and still here music and smooth ride. Even next to tractor trailers. Most miles are fron long trips. Put 2,500 of those miles on in 4 days.  One new garage gets built I will be buying another one :).

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.

EICMA 2013: Harley-Davidson Revolution X 750 & 500

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

The Street 750 and Street 500 from Harley-Davidson represent the first all-new platform from Harley-Davidson in 13 years. Built for urban environments, the Street series machines fall under the Dark Custom design and are intended for young, urban riders. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S.

Twin-engine pulsejet motorcycle. As you do..

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

The guy behind this twin-engined pulsejet motorcycle, Robert 'Bob' Maddox, fascinates me. He's a cabinet maker by trade but is somewhat an expert in the field of pulsejet engineering and has built a whole host of machines powered by the ever so subtle jet engine. This latest bike is dubbed a Harley-Davidson Sportjet, although it has nothing to do with Milwaukee and I'm not sure why H-D made it onto the tank...
