Harley-Davidson Touring description

The Road King has become one of Harley's most popular models. Although it's been categorized as a touring bike, it's equally impressive as a cruising motorcycle.

Ideal for Touring

It is easy to control on all surfaces and conditions, and is stable even at low speeds. The 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine has lots of power and torque, and can easily support 2 people. The seat is soft and comfortable for long trips, and the dual hard saddlebag compartments provide ample storage for all of your travel gear. Touring features include the windshield and passenger seat, which are easily removable, allowing for quick conversion to a custom solo look.

I purchased this bike from Harley about five years ago for $17k. Ive since put somewhere over $20k into it in custom work, parts and accessories. All the work on the bike has been done either by the dealership or me personally. Too much to list in add ons but it includes custom paint, wheels, vance & hines exhaust, (mini-apes)bars, lines braided, mirrors, chrome controls, engine dress up, led lights and so on...
Bike has a true-track kit installed. New tires, brakes, drive belt, battery etc. It has always been serviced on time. Great bike, but i've got to make room for new projects.

BUYER is responsible for picking this bike up.

Wed, 27 May 2009

J.D. Power and Associates who do independent and unbiased surveys and polls have gathered information on customer satisfaction of motorcycle helmets. The study measures the overall satisfaction of motorcyclists with their new helmet in three key factors: ventilation, face shield, and design and styling; which consist of 11 attributes: quietness; ventilation/air flow; de-fogging; face shield ability to keep wind out; face shield ability to resist scratching; ease of replacing face shield; scratch resistance of shell; color/graphic design; weight; ease of fastening the strap; and fit and comfort.

What am I gonna do with a gun rack?

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.

Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Fri, 31 Jul 2009

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
