Harley-Davidson Touring description

The a lil info on this bike,,, my cousin bought this bike brand new in 1978 and kept it for many years before it was sold to a local guy in our small town. It was sold two more times (locally) until last owner purchased it in 1999 and has owned it until I just purchased it (HEALTH REASONS). He has a shoe box full of receipts for everything he bought and all work completed on this bike for 17 years!  So, I know this bike personally and have ridden beside it for the last 17 years.

1978 FLH, last year for the 1200 engine. I have over 17 years of receipts for parts and labor for this bike ( include: rebuilt tranny with all new parts in 2000 by B&M Custom Cycles in MB, SC. 1st owner did a complete rebuild top & bottom at Doug's Harley Davidson in Florence, SC and was last rebuilt in 06-07> top end, bored 20 over with new guides, roller rockers, firering cylinder gaskets, andrews A grind cam, kept it low compression, etc). It is a matching numbers bike, has S&S carb, electric and kick start, dyna s ignition, new battery, true duals with fishtails, new Led headlight, bertha bags, mustang seat with matching passanger pad, sissy bar, new progressive shocks oil cooler, almost new Avon tires, stainless steal spoke rims, sealed primary with five finger clutch hub and double super seal (I think that's what it's called for primary), and I have original rims, carb and service manual. Also, have alot of extra parts, New J grind cam, solo seat chrome derby cover, drag pipe setup etc.

* Bike runs strong, doesn't smoke and tranny shifts good. I rode bike over 300 miles during Myrtle Beach Bike Week...NO PROBLEMS!
* During MB Bike Week I counted 3 shovelhead bikes out of the thousands of other bikes, so these bike are getting rare!
* I would ride this bike anywhere it's that dependable!
*Speedo works but milage doesn't.
*Should you have any questions, please email me and if I can't answer it I will contact the previous owner.

Motorcycle Ride for Diabetes

Fri, 23 Jan 2009

Photograph by: Roy Antal, Leader-Post By and large, motorcyclists are some of the most generous citizens in the world. Riding events all over the world bring in untold millions of dollars for numerous worthy charities. Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.

Harley Skateboard Trick – Awesome Motorcycle Jump

Tue, 28 Apr 2009

Everything needs to be jumped over with a skateboard at some point in human history.  People, benches, cars, cats, senior citizens, conclusions, ships, …. I’m getting a little metaphorical here…  Why not motorcycles?  Let’s jump some motorcycles on a skateboard and let’s make them Harley-Davidson motorcycles to boot. Harley is on fire with releasing “viral video” to promote their Dark Custom line and have now released this interesting video of a “modded” skateboard with fireworks strapped to it flying over some bikes.  Personally, I think it  looks like the guy is hanging from a wire when he crosses over those bikes.
