Harley-Davidson Sportster description

I am currently listing this for a family member and was asked to document the bike as best as I could. The information I was given is:

2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Hugger 100 year Anniversary Edition

Engine modified by Jim's harley-Davidson in Mendon Ohio to 1200cc in 2011. The saddle bags, rack, extended seat, sissy bar, and forward foot pegs were added but the seat is still original.

Currently, the bike has 8273 miles and less than 1000 since the modifications were done in 2011. The title will still show as 883 miles for insurance purposes.

Color is black and silver. The family member is currently selling the bike mainly for medical reasons and is really unable to ride anymore. I have witnessed the bike does still in fact run very nicely when it was being used.

As I stated, this is for a family member, but should you have any further questions that I have not answered here, I will be more than happy to quickly pass the message to the actual seller and either he can contact you, or I can reply for him.
Unfortunately, I am a little inexperienced when it comes to motorcycles and the original seller is much more more knowledgeable than I am.

The bike is for PICK-UP ONLY in Wapakoneta, Ohio, 45895. No shipping options available. Serious inquiries only please, and please bid and question with confidence. I strive to keep good ratings and trust with buyers and sellers.

James Cameron’s New Movie “Avatar” to use “Motorcycle Riding Badass” template?

Thu, 20 Aug 2009

James Cameron, the genius behind such movies as Aliens, Terminator 1 and 2, True Lies, and The Abyss, has a new movie coming out this fall. “Avatar”, a sci-fi action movie, stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, all of whom can be seen in the new pictures released yesterday by the studio. In one of the images we see Sam Worthington wearing a Harley-Davidson shirt and sitting in a bar.  Is this the story of an average tough guy who rides motorcycles and plays pool in bars, turned action hero who saves mankind?  Does Sam’s character, “Jake Sully”, ever get on a motorcycle in the movie or just shows his Harley support by wearing the T-shirt?

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
