2000 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom. Bought in 2002 with 4800 miles on it, I have been the only rider since then. Never dropped and always garaged. Brand new front tire, front brake rotor and battery. Vance and Hines Straightshots exhaust, S&S air cleaner, looks and sounds great. Rare "Dragonfly Green" custom paint from the factory. (I have been to dozens of bike rallys and have only seen this paint scheme on one other bike.) Drag bars with riser. Many extras. Buyer will receive all original parts with bike including mirrors, exhaust, turn signals, air cleaner, pegs and grips. Also will include leather Saddlemen throw over bags and passenger backrest not shown in pictures. Great starter bike, fun to ride. Only selling because I purchased a Road King and hate to see this Sporty just sitting in the garage. Would like to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have. Additionally, Orlando Harley-Davidson becomes the newest exhibitor to join AIMExpo, which will host nearly 500 powersports companies from around the world October 16-19 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). The presence of the Harley-Davidson brand at AIMExpo for the first time adds to the growing excitement surrounding the 2014 event, now less than a month away.
Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada
Mon, 30 Apr 2012A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
Zero Motorcycles Named to Made in USA Foundation Hall of Fame
Tue, 03 Jul 2012The Made in the USA Foundation has named Zero Motorcycles to its 2012 Hall of Fame class, recognizing the electric motorcycle manufacturer’s commitment to American manufacturing. Zero Motorcycles, founded in 2006 in Santa Cruz, Calif., by former NASA engineer Neal Saiki, becomes the second motorcycle manufacturer named to the Foundation’s Hall of Fame. Harley-Davidson was inducted in 2011.
