RARE AND DESIRABLE SPORTSTER 1200S. THESE BIKES CAME STOCK FROM THE FACTORY WITH DUAL PLUG HEADS, 10 TO 1 COMPRESSION, HOT CAMS,AND SPECIAL ADJUSTABLE FRONT FORKS AND REAR SHOCKS. THESE ARE VERY QUICK BIKES, AND NOT FOR NEW RIDERS. I HAVE OWNED THIS BIKE FOR OVER 2 YEARS. IT IS CURRENTLY LICENSED AND TITLED IN MY NAME. I RIDE 40 MILES EVERY DAY BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. AS LONG AS THERE IS NO ICE ON THE ROAD AND THE TEMP IS ABOVE 32 DEGREES. I HAVE INSTALLED A HI-FLO S.E. AIR CLEANER KIT AND REJETTED THE CARB, REPLACED BOTH FRONT AND REAR ROCKER BOX GASKETS, THE SPEEDOMETER SPEED SENSOR, BOTH FRONT AND REAR TIRES,BATTERY, AND PERFORMED ALL THE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE. I AM A FORMER HARLEY DEALER SERVICE MANAGER AND USE ONLY HARLEY PARTS. I ALSO INSTALLED ORIGINAL 65A SPORTSTER MUFFLERS FOR THAT GREAT OLD VINTAGE SPORTSTER SOUND. With a dry weight of 355kg, the bike is powered by a 1750cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-twin engine delivering 150Nm at 3250rpm. The same unit is put not only on the Road King line, but also on other bikes from Milwaukee.
Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
