Offered is an original XLH Iron Head Sportster. They are only original once. This bike looks like it belongs in a museum! Motor runs great and has never been cracked into. Tank, exhaust ,wheels ,fender its all originals including the buckhorn handle bars. This bike is an amazing snapshot of time, it has the original decals on the sides of the tank and they look great! This bike has never been over polished and has just the right amount of patina. Patina not rust. Bike shows well in its beautiful gold color. Pictures will show the original alarm located on the tag holder (most of these have been thrown away) I have the original title and receipts where the owner has payed for the bike. This is a classic Harley that will not be just a purchase but an investment. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $190.6 million over the second quarter of 2011, thanks to the first year-on-year quarterly improvement in the U.S. market in nearly five years. For the three months ended June 26, 2011, Harley-Davidson’s operating income totaled $301.9 million, a 38.0% increase from the $218.8 million reported in the same period of 2010.

During Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations earlier this year, Pope Francis was given not one, but two Harley-Davidsons, a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic and Dyna Super Glide Custom. Not one for gaudy excess (or a motorcycle ride for that matter), Pope Francis has decided to put both up for auction. Specifically, the Pope has donated the bikes to the Caritas charity near Rome.
