Harley-Davidson Softail description

Custom Changed to $10 ,900 or Best Offer. Honoring the victims of 9-11. The owner is an Army Veteran of 21 yrs who lost twelve very dear friends that were working at the Pentagon on 9-11. The owner decided to tear this down to the frame and rebuild it as a custom tribute to them and everyone else who lost their lives on that horrible day. This bike is awesome. It has been garage kept in his custom built, climate controlled bike garage and workshop. The owner only rides it on special occasions. Most of the parts are Genuine Harley-Davidson OEM, Genuine Harley-Davidson Chrome accessories-parts and Genuine Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle motor parts. Frame __ The frame was professionally chromed by Advance Chrome Connections in Forth Worth, TX. They chromed the frame, floor boards and several mounts. Cost of chroming was 1,200.00 plus shipping. Paint __ The paint on this bike is incredible. The bike was actually painted 4 separate times in order to achieve the desired effect of the inter-twining Pearl Red-White-Blue flames over a Silver metal flake base coat. The colors are deep and vivid. The paint was done by Rainman Grafix of San Antonio, TX and cost over 4,000.00 plus Tip. Motor Work __ All motor work was done by Lozano Brothers Racing in Cibolo, TX. Lozano Brothers are known nationwide for their unbelievable racing car and dragster motors. The entire engine was redone, both top and bottom. The owner mostly pre-owned Genuine Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle motor parts or custom built selected motor parts fabricated by Lozano Brothers Racing. All motor work cost over 15,000.00. Transmission __ A Genuine Harley-Davidson six Gear transmission and hydraulic clutch were installed. Awards __This bike won Best in Class and Best Paint at AutoRama 2005. General - All work on this bike was done professionally by a Certified Harley Mechanic, Lozano Brothers Racing, Advanced Chrome Connections and Rainman Grafix. The owner has all of the receipts and the title is clear, lien free and available for immediate transfer to the new owner. The bike can be ridden away, picked up with a trailer or professionally shipped. This bike is a screamer. As a matter of fact it is by far the fastest bike the owner has ever ridden. A stock comes with 65ft-lbs of Torque. This bike has 110ft-lbs of Torque and 1550cc plus. Lozano Brothers Racing also did the Dyno Tuning. The owner designed this bike from the frame up and wanted all of the accessories to express a single theme. The information are incredible. Mileage - The bike was bought with 6,300 mis on the odometer which is reflected on the title. The total mileage today on the odometer is 12,997. There were 8093mis on the odometer the day we took it down to the frame for the total rebuild. There is less than 5000mis on this bike since the rebuild. This was a labor of love, respect and honor. The intention was to ship this bike to DC and ride it in Rolling Thunder. If you are a Patriot and love your country and love riding as much as the owner does, this is the bike for you. It is loud and it is fast and it is beautiful. It is a real head-turner. The owner has over $60 ,000.00 invested on this bike. The photos are beautiful but really do not do it justice. It is a fantastic cruiser and a terrific ride. Qualified buyers may be eligible for Financing, Extended Warranty and Nationwide Shipping.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
