Harley-Davidson Softail description
I AM SELLING MY 1998 HARLEY FXSTC AFTER MANY YEARS OF HAPPY SERVICE FROM THIS BIKE. BEING A 1998 MAKES THIS AN ANNIVERSARY MODLE. A 95th ANNIVERSARY MODLE INFACT. I BOUGHT THIS BIKE USED IN 2003 AND HAVE HAD ZERO TROUBLE FROM IT AS LONG AS I HAVE OWNED IT. THE BIKE HAS BEEN SERVICED REGULARLY EVER SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. I HAVE HAD THE FLUIDS CHANGED RELIGOUSLY, AND THIS INCLUDES ALL FLUIDS NOT JUST THE OIL. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PIX IT HAS LOTS OF CHROME, ALL BRAIDED LINES AND CABLES, ALONG WITH A CUSTOM PAINT JOB, AND STRETCH TANK. THE PAINT WAS DONE IN 2003 AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION TODAY. THE BIKE HAD LOTS OF NEW PARTS PUT ON AT THE TIME OF THE PAINT JOB AND ONE OF THEM WAS THE ODOMETER. I WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD 10,000 ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE REPLACEMENT AND IT NOW HAS SLIGHTLY OVER 24,000 WHICH WOULD BE A TOTAL OF 34,000 + MILES. BUT I CAN NOT GUARANTEE THAT IS CORRECT. I HAD THE MOTOR GONE THROUGH ABOUT 3 SEASONS AGO. AT THAT TIME THE S&S CARB WAS PUT ON AND THE CAM WAS CHANGED TO THE SAME CAM AS HARLEY USED IN THE BIGGER BAGGER BIKES OF THE SAME VINTAGE. I REPLACED THE REAR TIRE THIS RIDING SEASON AND IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 300 MILES ON IT. I HAVE A COUPLE OF SEATS FOR THIS BIKE AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PIX. IT ALSO HAS A QUICK DETACH SISSY BAR AND WINDSHIELD WHICH I SHOW IN THE PIX. THE LIGHTS ON FRONT ARE THE LARGE LIGHT SET INSTEAD OF THE SMALL LIGHT THAT COMES ON THE FXSTC. I STILL HAVE THE SMALL LIGHT BUT DO NOT KNOW WHY ANY ONE WOULD PREFER IT. I HAVE BAGS FOR THE BIKE BUT HAD THEM OFF FOR CLEANING WHEN THESE PIX WERE DONE. THE BAGS ARE A MATCH FOR THE BIG BAGGER SEAT THAT IS SHOWN IN SOME OF THE PIX. I LIKE THE BIKE WITH THE BAGS AND BIG SEAT ON IT FOR LONG DISTANCE RIDES. WHEN THE BAGS AND WINDSHIELD ARE ON IT LOOKS LIKE A HERITAGE EXCEPT FOR THE SKINNY FRONT TIRE. I LOVE THIS BIKE AND WOULD NOT SELL IT AT ALL EXCEPT THAT I BOUGHT A VINTAGE CAR AND CAN NOT STORE BOTH PROPERLY. HATE TO LET IT GO BUT I AM NOT RIDING IT MUCH ANY MORE AND DO NOT WANT IT TO SET A RUN DOWN. THIS WILL MAKE SOMEONE A VERY NICE BIKE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME. PRICE MAY SEEM HIGH TO YOU BUT LOOK AT ALL THE CHROME AND THE EXTRA SEATS AND SO ON AND IT ADDS UP. I AM ALSO ENTERTAINING OFFERS, SO MAKE ME AN OFFER.

Motorcycle Stirrups – Yes, They Exist!
Wed, 15 Jan 2014What do you get when a lifelong horse rider and motorcyclist from Nebraska gets inspired to combine his two loves? Why, motorcycle stirrups, of course! The idea came to Devin Santana, proprietor of Nebraska City Iron Works, one day when he was riding his Harley-Davidson down the road and looked down at his feet.
