Harley-Davidson Other description

2011 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail CLASSIC, I decided to upgrade to an Ultra Limited, so I am selling my old bike. This bike is still riding like brand new. The best part is that this bike has 4 1/2 years left on the 7 year extended warranty I bought from Harley when I got the bike, including the road hazard insurance. In other words, you have nothing to worry about on this bike for a long time. Some of the options: -7 year extended warranty with road hazard -Harley Davidson factory ABS brakes - These make a huge difference in the rain! -Harley Davidson factory security system. Take the keys and walk away, no need to lock it! -Engine guard up front with highway pegs. -Locking saddlebags, which are keyed to the ignition lock for easy use. -Saddle bag support bars inside to keep the shape of the saddle bags. This kit also came with a plastic plate to go under the covers to keep them from getting mangled. -Cup holder on the handle bars (extremely useful on long trips) -Upgraded speedo with tachometer, gear indication, two trip meters, range, etc. Much better than stock -Three pocket windshield pouches (to store sunglasses, keys, etc) -9 spoke mag wheels, I got them cause they look awesome and I was sick of trying to get spokes tightened and rims re-trued every 5,000 miles... what a nightmare, solved very easily with the mags. -Digital oil level/temperature gauge. -1 drop kit so it is very easy to ride. Great bike for someone interested in getting into a bigger bike. This is the way to upgrade from a Dyna or Sportster. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but it's well laid out for a cruiser and long distance touring. Blue book is 16,300 for the base heritage, I am selling it for what is left on the loan. As for maintenance: -The bike has 25,000 miles on it. It has been to Sturgis twice, has done the tail of the dragon, driven to Daytona and all the way to Key West, has seen 12,000 foot altitudes with snow in Colorado, and has essentially treated me like a king. I am actually amazed how comfortable this bike is over my Ultra Classic... the seat is far better and the general positioning is as well (little surprised about that, since the Ultra is designed for touring). -I had a new rear tire put on at 21,000 miles, so that won't need changing for a while. -I had the 25,000 mile service done in July, so no need for an oil change till 30k. -The front tire was replaced at 15,000k. It'll need to be changed in another 5,000 miles. I love this bike, but I wanted all the toys on the new Ultras, so I decided to upgrade. I will miss it dearly, but just don't have the room for two in the garage. Call 630-708-7202, I'm using google voice to my cell phone so I don't get telemarketers. Any problems send an email and I'll send you my cell directly. $14,500.00 6307087202

Pope Francis To Auction Harley-Davidson For Charity

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

During Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations earlier this year, Pope Francis was given not one, but two Harley-Davidsons, a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic and Dyna Super Glide Custom. Not one for gaudy excess (or a motorcycle ride for that matter), Pope Francis has decided to put both up for auction. Specifically, the Pope has donated the bikes to the Caritas charity near Rome.

Barbie and Ken get biker makeover

Mon, 15 Feb 2010

IF YOU'VE a young daughter and you want to keep her away from motorcycles when she's older (or more likely the men that ride them) then look away now.Yes folks, Barbie and Ken are getting serious makeover to keep them up-to-date for 2010 - the new Harley-Davidson endorsed couple now come complete with biker gear, tattoos and even piercings (a Prince Albert, perhaps?). It makes you wonder what Mattel, the company behind the plastic duo, has next in the pipeline. Maybe they'll have a model of Birmingham airport, where Ken can kick the sh*t out of rival bike gang members?
