UFC Set To Rumble For H-D’s 110th Anniversary

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) octagon is set to ride into Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary celebration, giving fans an opportunity to witness one of the hardest-hitting live MMA fights of the year – the UFC 164 Harley-Davidson Hometown Throwdown. UFC stars including Cain Velasquez, Mike Chiesa and Matt Hughes will be at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee on August 31 for the action-packed card, which will feature more than 10 hard-hitting bouts. “UFC and Harley-Davidson fans will experience the passion of the world’s best fighters when they duke it out in the Octagon in our backyard here in Milwaukee during our 110th Anniversary,” said Mark-Hans Richer, Chief Marketing Officer at Harley-Davidson.

Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here. EICMA 2013: Harley-Davidson Revolution X 750 & 500 First Impressions Video

Bred in America, built in India the new Revolution X platform is meant to be Harley’s new price point model. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S. will. The 500 costs $6700 and the 750 is $7500.
