And it is—a full 100cc bigger. That’s right. For the first time ever, and only for a short while, we’re offering a stock motorcycle with a 1550cc, 95 cubic inch engine. All this added power comes compliments of a Screamin’ Eagle Big Bore kit. Get behind the controls of this up-sized engine with super-smooth EFI and you’ll see it fits right in with the rest of the machine’s girth. Huge forks. Giant floorboards. Mammoth light and nacelle. The tank cloisonné is plated in 24k gold. The oil tank gets color treatment to match the engine. It’s easy to see there’s a whole lot to love about this Fat Boy. Harley-Davidson Goes Low for 2015
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Harley-Davidson revealed the new 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low and Ultra Limited Low, offering what it calls the the lowest seat height of any premium touring motorcycle on the market. Designed with riders 5 feet 7 inches and shorter in mind, the two Low models have a seat height of 25.6 inches from the ground, or 1.7 inches lower than the regular models. The lower seat isn’t the only change to accommodate shorter riders.
Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?
Fri, 10 May 2013Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.
2013 Harley-Davidson World Ride Scheduled for June 23-24
Tue, 07 May 2013Harley-Davidson riders around the world will head out on the road June 23-24 for the 2013 Harley-Davidson World Ride. The event is organized by the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), but non-members are invited to join in to celebrate Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary as well as H.O.G.’s 30th anniversary. “Harley-Davidson is celebrating two big anniversaries this year, and the World Ride is a great way for riders around the world to celebrate them with us,” says Ken Knuteson, H.O.G.
