You are looking at a 1992 Harley Davidson FXRS-SP with only 12,675 original miles and no that is not a misprint. I purchased this bike from Mikes Famous in New London, CT last year and have all of the documentation to prove it. As soon as I got the bike, I began to take it apart and build it back up the way it sits now. I may have put 50 miles on it since I recently finished it but that is probably a stretch. I have the original tach/ speedo to prove the mileage. I will try to list some parts I have added/ replaced but will probably miss a few things:
- custom paint by Time Warp - new rubber front and rear - new rotors and yes the front is a dual disc - black powder coated wheels - custom sprung Hagon shocks for a 210 pound rider - roland sands diamond stitch 2 up seat - Bassani road rage exhaust - lowbrow customs air cleaner - 6" black risers with dirt bike style handle bars - mx style grips - all handlebar buttons and wiring have been cleaned up/ eliminated - solenoid push button starter - custom black headlight with hi/ lo switch on rear of bucket I am sure I am missing stuff but these are the highlights. The bike is in awesome condition with not a single problem. It has to be one of the cleanest/ low mileage FXR's on the internet right now. Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India
Fri, 18 May 2012India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.
US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results
Thu, 28 Jul 2011The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Champion Chris Fillmore
Tue, 06 Sep 2011Chris Fillmore of Oxford, Mich., has won the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship. Fillmore ended the season on a victorious note, winning the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The Bruce Rossmeyer/Geico racer finished the season with five wins and eight podium appearances in nine races in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 spec racing series.
