1981 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead FLH, everything has been restored/upgraded/replaced on this bike. She has a Jim's 6 speed for smoother shifting. The bike has a wide glide front end with dual brakes for stopping power. Performance Machine manufactured the front wheel. Chrome Jay Brake 4 piston rear brake. just installed Progressive 412HD rear shocks. there is just to much to list. i have been rebuilding this bike for the last 3 yrs. I have receipts for well over 20K. everything is documented. My recent back surgery determined no more motorcycles.Her name is LOUISE and she truly is one of kind. kept in an air-conditioned/heated garage. My asking price is way less that 50 cents on the dollar, i think that is fair. 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two and Softail Slim Revealed

Fri, 19 Dec 2008Every year it seems that newspaper advertisements, radio and TV commercials for Christmas start earlier and earlier. As soon as the sun begins to set on Halloween, department stores begin packing shelves and websites start stocking inventory in preparation for the impending feeding frenzy that will occur for the most commercial of holidays next to valentine’s day. While spending the holiday with family normally keeps me blitzed off eggnog and most of these aforementioned advertisements are enough to make me want to book a cruise for an entire fortnight at the end of December, this one commercial for Harley-Davidson made me laugh.

In a time before the economic meltdown, motorcycle sales, especially for Harley-Davidson, were booming. After the collapse, sales have only started to pick up again within the past two years (at nowhere near pre-2008 levels, however).
