1978 Harley-Davidson FLH Shovelhead. It is a one of a kind beautiful bike that has had a frame off restoration approximately five years ago..Every nut and bolt was replaced with new old stock parts.The frame was powder coated black and the tins are painted a 1985 Porsche 944 Red. The tank has hand painted Harley Davidson on each side. (Not Decals) The engine was rebuilt using 80c.i. heads making it 1340c.c. I have the original 74c.i. heads that will come with the bike. New Barnetts clutch installed. Clear blue 2A Texas title. Really too much to list on it. Recent service and new tires. I accepted this bike as partial trade on another deal I have made so I want to sell this bike to someone who can appreciate and enjoy it. I am asking $13,500 obo. All reasonable offers considered. What these naysayers either forget or completely ignore is that Harley-Davidson motorcycles continue to sell. In its first quarter 2014 financial report, Harley-Davidson reported a 5.8% increase in motorcycle sales including 3.0% in the U.S.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
