1968 Atomic Custom chopper! This bike was built for the Motorcycles as Art display at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, SD. It will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Easyriders magazine. This bike has only been ridden 2 times for shakedown/test and tune. It is currently on display at the Holter Museum of art in Helena, Montana.
Specs: *OEM motor with 84" internals, the best of everything. Built by Randall Nelson. Morris magneto, S&S E carb, Cycle Electric generator. Engraved rocker boxes, aircleaner cover, and cam cover. * Rivera/Primo belt drive with pro clutch tucked inside a Phares Cycle Parts cast aluminum primary (also engraved). *OEM ratchet top 4 speed trans also completely rebuilt by Randall Nelson. Engraved kicker cover * Phares Cycle Parts 2 over narrow I beam springer mated to a stock spec straight leg frame. * High shoulder aluminum wheels. 21" spool up front and 16" star hub out back. * Custom king and queen seat. Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011
Mon, 17 Oct 2011In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
